Super Summer Stories!

May 19, 2011

Do you want to read this summer? For Advanced English students, summer reading is required. Mrs. Karatsikis says, “We have summer reading to give the teachers an idea of where you are when you get back from vacation.” Advanced students receive an assignment before summer break that has directions on how and when to complete it by. “Most students leave it until the last minute, which isn’t very smart.” Mrs. Karatsikis adds with a smile. She informs us that all of York County has summer reading, and that it isn’t just a “Tabb Thing.”   “Summer reading is so important, because it keeps the elements of literature fresh in your mind.” Mrs. Karatsikis replies. Although reading over the summer may seem horrible, the books are always thrilling. Now you may be asking, “So, what’s the book?” Well, that’s just going to have to be a surprise!
