Love for Page

May 20, 2011

As most of you know, Page Middle School was hit by the recent tornados and storms. The damage was severe and most of the school was destroyed. Thankfully, our very own Tabb NJHS decided to help out.

The result was Links for Love, a fundraiser to help get the needed funds to rebuild Page. Students could buy paper ‘links’ for 25 cents andthe links would be added to a chain. Each grade level’s chain was displayed in the cafeteria. The grade level that had the longest chain would win free ice cream. Throughout the week, students purchased several links and some very long chains were formed. By the end of the week the school had raised a lot of money. In the end though, the sixth grade won the free ice cream.

“It was a lot of fun helping fellow students, “ said Lena Strickling, the NJHS president.

Links for Love was a great way for Tabb to reach out to another school in a time of need. Hopefully, Page can get back on their feet as soon as possible. Our hearts go out to them and the NJHS definitely knew how to show that we cared.
