On a hot summer morning with a bright blue sky on August 16, 2015 at 10:04 a.m. Jo McWordro broke out of Edmonton Institution. Then, at 10:26 a.m. when the jail had a room check Officer Edmon realized he was missing and thought “he’s gone!!” Jo McWordro had escaped from the tight dark square cell window. Then, he had grabbed a child’s bike out of a close by yard and started his journey down 227 Ave NE to Elk Island National Park it took him 2 hours 14 min until he was found, he had jumped out into an open field over the high way fence in the park in attempt to run away. Officer Edmon reports that he had to shoot the felon three times in the upper leg. Then, he had fallen to the ground and injured badly so they called the nearest hospital’s helicopter and it arrived 12:03p.m. Now Jo McWordro locked up in ADX Florence, United States prison.
